"Dr. Williams' training was exactly what I needed to deepen my practice. I work as a therapist with Indigenous Maya peoples. I learned long ago that my Euro-American training was not relevant (and sometimes harmful) to them. We white practitioners often receive very little training in how to support well-being for Indigenous communities. Dr. Williams taught me themes which resonate strongly with the Maya communities, in particular the importance of right relationship with the Earth. I was especially intrigued by Dr. Williams' practices for promoting identity in relationship with the land. I believe most practitioners would benefit from building such understanding!"
